Founder Kaseina O’Brien-Ale had always admired the timeless beauty of natural black pearls. In the Pacific Islands, black pearls are more than jewellery they represent elegance, culture, strength, and the beauty of the ocean itself. Formed naturally inside oysters deep within the sea, every pearl carries its own unique story, making no two pearls ever exactly the same.
Like many women, Kaseina wanted to wear these beautiful pearls to feel confident and beautiful herself. But at the time, genuine natural black pearls were simply too expensive to afford.
Instead of giving up on her dream, she decided to create her own.
With determination, passion, and a deep love for pearls, Kaseina began handcrafting jewellery pieces herself from home. Every necklace, bracelet, and earring was carefully made by hand with love, patience, and vision. As the business slowly began to grow, her husband stepped in to support her journey helping refine the jewellery, improve the craftsmanship, and perfect each piece using professional jewellery machines and tools.
Together, they turned a small dream into something meaningful.
Starting from online sales and local markets around Brisbane, they introduced customers to the beauty and elegance of handcrafted natural pearl jewellery. People quickly fell in love — not only with the pearls themselves, but with the story, passion, and authenticity behind every piece.
What started as one woman simply wanting to beautify herself became a family-owned business helping thousands of women feel beautiful, confident, and special through timeless pearl jewellery.
